Economic support options

While studying at Thy-Mors HF & VUC, there are various options for financial support. You can only receive support from one study programme at a time.

SU (student grant)

You are SU-eligible if you are over 18 years, at least 23 hours a week and are actively studying.

Do you have children under 7 years, the requirement 17 hours a week, and in addition there is the possibility to apply for an additional surcharge if you are a single parent.

There is also a reduced number of hours, if you are currently a high school completion.

You can get grants to cover tuition for avu (general adult), higher preparatory single instruction and single baccalaureate. You apply for grants to cover tuition at minSU.dk

You can highest recoup 85% of the amount paid.

SU-hours

SVU (state adult education grants)

State adult education support given to school leavers between 25 and 64 years. You can get support for up to 40 weeks, and support is available to employees. You must have at least 3 teaching hours per week and may be paid to your employer if it pays you wages while you attend classes.

State adult support is also given to the FVU (Preparatory Adult Education) of OBU (dyslexics), and require slightly different rules:

• You must be between 20 and 64 years and you can get SVU in 18 weeks
• you may like to be skilled

Unemployment benefits

If you are unemployed, you can go at Thy-Mors HF & VUC and preserve your benefits if you simultaneously available to the labor market. On avu level you must have all the hours you want, and hf and PAE must have the 20 hours of instruction per week. Note: you do not have to use your right to 6 weeks of self-chosen education as adult education student.

Other conditions

Are you such rehabilitee, recipient of cash assistance, flex boarded or sickness benefits, talk to your caseworker about participation opportunities.

Youth Card

Ungdomskortet giver dig, som er studerende, markante rabatter på offentlig transport, bl.a. mellem din skole og din bopæl.

Ungdomskort er et permanent rabatkort til kollektiv trafik for elever på ungdomsuddannelser, studerende på videregående SU-berettigede uddannelser og øvrige 16 til 19-årige.
